Bird identification - can anyone help?

You are probably correct. The pink legs tend towards tree as opposed to meadow pipit.

 

It's easier to tell them apart by song and display flight.

Thanks. I've seen loads of meadow pipits before, but never a tree pipit, and I arrived at the latter possibility by a process of elimination. It wasn't calling or flying about, so nothing else to go on apart from habitat (the pic was taken from Stanley Hill, which is not really meadow pipit territory). To be honest, I thought it was a goldfinch when I pointed my camera at it :blush:

Snapped this while out this morning. Does anyone know what it is? Tree pipit, maybe?

 

Its a linynoworky bird. :P
