Double sided duplex printing query

Duplex printing - how do I ensure that it is permanently set to the short edge (left) binding location? it defaults to the long edge, ie top which results in printing upside down on the second page.

either in the printer software settings where it should ahve a selection for binding or in word

aha - I'm using it to print out emails from Outlook 2010

and it doesnt seem to have the same simplistic accessibility to instructions like this.
