Johnny Winters blues guitarist and grammy winner for albums writen and produced for Muddy Waters has died...

He was about to embark on a US tour next week great guitarist sadly missed in the music business

I believe Johnny Winter produced and played on three Grammy-winning albums with Muddy Waters in all, the first of which – 'Hard Again' – I happen to have in my collection (Pinetop Perkins on piano and James Cotton on harmonica: how good is that?)

 

A new Johnny Winter album, which promises to be a right scorcher, is due for release this September. He was a virtuoso of the blues guitar.
