I'm thinking in terms of, arranged marriages. This is normal practice in some countries, but could we do it in the West?

Doesn't physical attraction play some part in this?

you can...but if your family are going to shove a plastic bag down your throat to make it easier, than I guess it is a lot easier to do so.

There is a difference between forced marriage and arranged marriage. It is very common and part of the culture for Asians and Jews to enter into arranged marriages quite happily.

And some before they know what marriage means or long before they would be old enough to consent to it in the UK.
