megalithic   10 #8 Posted July 5, 2014 No re-enactment this year.  Not worth bothering then really.  I'd really love to see a live music stage if they aren't bothering with the re-enactments. This really could rival Sharrow festival or Peace in the Park, given the will. Instead it'll be a veg tent, a bit of a an over priced fair, and a falconry display.  I'm almost embarrassed to acknowledge this as my local event. angelica1 Â Â 10 #9 Posted July 5, 2014 ive booked to go to the lowedges festival for the first time they say that's a big event, and told that the Sheffield fayre was a great event as it had re-enactment and encampments, have they not replaced these with something else,if not its just a funfair with fruit and veg and flowers by the sounds of it,hope the lowedges one is as good as it sounds
 Share this content via...
bassett one   452 #10 Posted July 5, 2014 thanks for that comment,it does seem odd that all Norfolk park has is a funfair and a fruit/veg area and that's it for a 2 day event, our at lowedges it seems is a lot bigger and only one day, does anyone have a list for the Sheffield fayre 2014 other than a funfair
 Share this content via...
angelica1 Â Â 10 #11 Posted July 13, 2014 the line up of bands for the lowedges 1st ever music stage I have heard is heading towards equalling the sharrow festival music stage, but where is it going to be in the park and you should tell people the times and names of the band stage as its never been done before at lowedges festival, come on basset tell us the bands you have booked soon
 Share this content via...
Miss Tryphena   10 #12 Posted July 14, 2014 Sheffield council, in their wisdom, decided not to pay the organisers of the re-enactment side of Sheffield Fayre event. That is why all the groups now go to other events on the bank holiday weekend.
 Share this content via...
