Upvc window handles

Hi I have bought a new house and it is missing 3 window handles on closer inspection they have been snapped off leaving half of the steel in the mechanism, any tips on getting this out so I can put new handles one any advice muchly appreciated.

I sawed the metal barrel of one of those in half once using a junior hacksaw when replacing my bathroom window handle, very soft metal. Try drilling a little hole in the centre of it and turning a screw into it & pulling it out? Might work.?
