I know Brian Loud.

When my budgie was ill I asked for advice.

He gave it and asked me to let him know how it fared.

It died . I told Brian, and without thinking I asked if he had a budgie that needed a good home.

He said he hadn't but he had a cockatiel with no feathers.

Said it was in the shed at the top of the garden.

It was February, and cold, and I took pity on a bird in a shed, with no feathers on a cold February day.

Went to see it and ''the shed'' was a heated aviary.

Seems the bird had been neglected because the owner had been too ill to take care of it.

That was fourteen years ago.

Charlie, as I call him, has grown his feathers, but only just.

Don't know his age, but he is a tough nut and I love him for that.

Glad Brian is still going strong.

At the time I am talking about, he had just had a heart by pass.

I am pleased to hear Brian is still going strong too.

I have taken many a injured bird to Brian (and pots of mealworms too).

Brain truly loves his feathered friends.

Top gent.

Oh he is angel22.

So gentle with them and you know the instant he takes them in his hand they are in the very best of care.

All birds he nurtures stay nearby once released (by choice!), and where he lives is lovely it is like something out of a Famous Five v Enid Blyton novel being there!

Berlingo - that's great news - fingers crossed for the little one.

Tastytreats - how is your little bird??? Did you ring Brian?

Brian is a true gent and always has time for anyone in their attempt to save vulnerable birds. He knows his stuff. :D
