Removing crest and finial from conservatory

Recommended Posts

An external painter has suggested removing the crest from the conservatory to rest scaffolding planks on rather than get a full scaffold erected. Is this a simple task to do usually? I don't want one job to create another, but it does seem extreme to spend several hundred pounds on scaffold just to paint a few yards of fascia.

Thanks

It all depends whether this fascia adds any value to the property or not.

If you really like it and can afford to spend £200 or so to keep it then go ahead.

Have you any pics of it?

The fascia which needs painting is on the house. It should have been painted before the conservatory went up 10 years ago but wasn't. The crest is plastic/upvc.

Thanks for your help/advice.
