Selling a Milner Safe (Help)

Recommended Posts

Hi

We have a old milner safe and don't really know much about it but wondered if anyone bought safes in sheffield or if anyone knows about them etc. It's a big floor standing safe and is very very heavy.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Give harolds on shalesmoor a call. What they don't know about safes is not worth knowing

If its one of the old bent steel type there worth very little even though they are really old. Depends what model it is, they were mostly used for documents because they are fireproof. Nowadays they would not have an isurance rating like modern safes have.

Here is some history http://www.safe-manufacturers.co.uk/listings/milner-safes/

Sadly they aren't worth a great deal. When fire arms were allowed folk needed then for guns etc.

Now they are a liability because you don't know who has keys. Combination safes are the thing.
