Ok, that makes sense, it's just that my road (admittedly it's a minor road, not even a B road) was resurfaced in the last month, and they were working 7:30am to 5pm weekdays only

Drove through Baslow earlier at 6pm (ok, not SCC but still a council responsible for it) and they were retarring the road. So does happen outside of what are deemed "normal" hours.

Ours is a little cul de sac and that was resurfaced in the 7pm to 5am shift, so it does happen.
