Cheap MOT from an honest garage?

Hi All - I'm new to Sheffield and am looking for a cheap MOT at an honest garage in the area. Anybody have any recommendations please? Thanks!

Find a place that just does MOTs and no other work. They have no incentive to make up advisorys/fails since they won't be doing the work.

We've always used Amberley garage on Attercliffe Common for repairs and service/MOT. Never had any problems with them.

derbyshire lane service station really good garage not especially cheap but totally honest.

The MOT Centre, Broadfield Road, Heeley just does MOT tests.

I always go to Atkinsons on Oakland Road, Hillsborough.

Avoid the larger testing garages like dealerships as they tend to be very picky and look for every tiny fault they can fail it on. You are better off at a small back street garage that might not be so nosy .

That's the sort of garage that you need, one that doesn't do the test properly.

 

You can always trust traders who cut corners. Especially those related to personal safety.

Cutting corners or just Not looking for faults that dont exist so they can charge you £50 per hour labour + parts to do the "Repairs" . ?
