All BBC HD channels are unstable

I have a Freesat dish and Fortec Star Passion+ HD receiver. All the BBC HD channels are unstable (freezing, then starting, then freezing, and goes on and on...), while all other ordinary BBC channels are fine. None of ITV HD channels, or any of the other ordinary channels are freezing. What could be the problem with all the BBC HD channels? Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Probably trees in the way of your dish, or it's come slightly out of alignment. Less likely is a faulty LNB or cable between your dish and box.

Your dish actually points at multiple satellites, with multiple transmitters on them, so it's not like the old analogue days where if one signal worked they all should. It's quite possible to have entire blocks of channels unwatchable while channels from the same company come through clearly.

Freesat and BSkyB both come off Astra Europe at 1W (1 West). This is why you can easily convert from Sky to Freesat by just replacing your box. Certain unencrypted stations will be identical on Sky as they are on Freesat. I'm not having any issues with BBC HD, which I don't believe is encrypted (i.e there are certain stations that you can receive on Sky even if you're not subscribing - they switch your viewing card to a 'Freesat from Sky' viewing card) So I figure that you're either having issues with the box, LNB or something interferring on that specific transponder.

If you know anyone else who has Sky (if you're in Flats this won't work, as they may be connected to the same dish as you are and just using a distributed system) - Take your box to their place and hook in there, see if it's doing the same thing - this way you can verify and eliminate most likely candidate of it being your box/config.
