Venue – Lescar, Sharrowvale Road, Sheffield S11 8ZF

KATIE MULGREW

Katie Mulgrew has a friendly and likeable style, but behind the bonhomie, there’s a slightly cynical edge. Her North-West bluntness is as appealing as her seemingly limitless confidence, all presented with engaging wide-eyed enthusiasm.

Runner up 2007 Funny Women.

“Funnier than her famous Dad” Chris Ramsey

“Like a big ball of fuzziness wrapped in barbed wire” The Radar News

RUSSELL HICKS

One of the most exciting comics to come out of America, Russell Hicks is branded one of the 'Top Six Comics to Watch' by LA's Stand Up Talk Magazine. He has appeared on LA based panel show Direct TV's 'What's News?' and is a regular guest on hit podcasts such as Talkin' Sh*t with Eddie Ifft.

Headlining the nationally acclaimed student circuit in the United States, Russell regularly takes his hour long solo shows across the country to the biggest universities.

Prolific and consistently delivering quality new work, audience members are often compelled to return for two nights in a row. Fast and loose, no two shows are ever the same.

"Russell Hicks is Amazing", Comedy Palace

"absolutely smashed it last night. What was most impressive is that he somehow managed to completely improvise for the entire 30 minutes, which I have never seen done before. I have worked in numerous different comedy venues and I have also never seen a comedian get a huge round of applause for simply leaving the green room, which Russell did. I believe he has a bright future in comedy with his unique talent to riff so well." Bearcat

"It’s impressive to witness the fountain of verbal gold that comes out of the comedian." NerdsDoItBetter

"a gift…very funny" Stand Up Talk

"Russell Hicks is Amazing", ADN

"He had us in stitches….non stop laughs", NoFrillsThrills

ASH BUTTERFIELD

New act, local Sheffield lad making waves on the circuit.

RICHARD MORTON

Described as "possibly Newcastle's finest export since the famous brown ale" and certainly more consistent than its football team, Richard Morton has nailed the twin talents of musicianship and comedy into one perfectly suited package.

This livewire Geordie comic is full of surprises and manic energy, bounding around the stage like an overgrown child on a massive sugar rush.

A former winner of Time Out Comedian of the Year, Richard Morton’s amiable manner belies a razor sharp talent and with some acutely witty and well-defined and varied observations, he tackles a plethora of life's situations in gags, tales, and some of his hilarious and occasional risque songs. No subject matter is clearly safe from being put to a tune.

"Comic genius"- The Daily Express

"A great stand up. Audiences laughed longer and louder at Morton than any other act on the Fringe." - Sunday Times

"His hilarious songs give musical comedy a good name" - The Guardian
