RANT TIME ......... Is it just me ? or are others sick and tired of timewasters arranging to view items for sale on the forum then not turning up ?? ... i`m sick of having my time wasted by these idiots and losing potential sales in the process .

Why does the Sheffield forum not have a system in place where by timewasters can be reported via their user-name and have a 3 strikes your out rule in place .... after failing to turn up without contacting the seller 3 times ban them from the forum ..... these idiots really do make my blood boil  !! ..... what do other forum Users think about having a rule like this implemented ?

P.S timewasters views on this subject is not required

So if there have been many discussions on the subject , why are the monitors / admin not putting something in place to stop it ...... they delete adds for many reasons / delete members for less trivial matters ( although in general do a very good job ) .... surely after so many topics started on the matter and so many complaints something can and should be done dont you think ?

You are correct.

It should be the case that a member of the admin team accompanies said time wasters to their appointments to make sure that they go. That should sort things out.

lol I`m not suggesting that , but if the seller asks the potential buyer what his forum name is when making the arrangements to view , then he at least has something with which to make a complaint .... if the forum recieves several complaints about the same buyer them block them ..... its not that hard , or is it ?

Yes but on e-bay if it happens you can report and the offender gets their account closed , ebay have strict rules against that sort of thing ........ all SF seem to care about is that no livestock / firearms are sold and no-one duplicates an add ..... any other complaints seem to fall on deaf ears

On the other hand can sellers who have sold an item please amend their item as sold on the forum or remove their add. That wastes time for the buyer.

Very true , and i agree 100%
