rollwithit   12 #1 Posted June 10, 2014 Sorry to say, I absolutely hate footy and wouldn't watch it even if a relative was in the national team.  So, any pubs not cashing in and switching the TV off instead  I already know Sammy smith pubs don't have entertainment but they're few and far between.  Sometimes its just nice to have a talkers pub (but no talking sport!) Stoatwobbler   10 #5 Posted June 11, 2014 (edited) Most of the real ale pubs are football free, so I would suggest heading to somewhere like Shakespeare's.  Can't guarantee that nobody will talk about it though. SteelCityAle   10 #6 Posted June 11, 2014 most of the Valley of Beer is TV-free and thus safe (though as Stoatwobbler says no guarantee people won't be talking about it - none of the pubs has been declared footy-free zones AFAIK)  Shakespeare, KIT, Quin, Gardeners, Cask & Cutler, sorry, Bottom Wellie, all TV-free
 Share this content via...
