London black cabs

Tomorrow at 2pm black cabs in London will hold a demonstration for transport for London to uphold it's own laws ie ;to stop illegal plying for hire by touts and minicabs. The demo will not be against uber as such but you may here their name mentioned. The demo may disrupt your travel intentions.I'm sure my cabbie friends believe they are fighting for their future.

I'm sure I won't be using a cab in future if they carry on like this.. besides Uber is a lot cheaper and easier to get a cab with.

I refuse to use black cabs now as I were in town a couple of year ago in my wheelchair and went to a taxi rank to get in a taxi to get out the rain. I went to the taxi in front and he said "Sorry mate I don't have ramps, get the next one" so I let someone else have the taxi.

 

It was only when I got in the next taxi the driver explained to me that all black cabs have to have ramps now. So the 1st driver just couldn't be bothered to help me out.

 

A couple of week after I then had a black cab driver miss the exit to get off the Stocksbridge bypass so without notice just did a U turn on a busy bypass
