Geared, any idea how much a repair would be if the seals have gone, approximately? :|

The seals are not that much ,I changed all mine in my car total cost was about £30 although you need a tool to separate where the pipes join /seals fit

An AC specilist should have tools and seals in stock.

Trick is finding a specialist in vehicle Air Conditioning in the cold, un-relenting North..............

Quick update, I took my car into MotorMates on the old penistone road, and they tested it for me. Found no leaks, but there was hardly any gas in, so they've refilled it. £48 all in

My car air con stinks, so I am just not using it- can anyone recommend a good place to take it to be dealt with, without breaking the bank? (There are some threads on SF but none within the last 4 years)

I can recommend Motor Mates on Penistone road, as above. They did a good job, reasonable price, and nice friendly, speedy service. :)

Savoy tyres on Upwell street had a sign outside last week saying £30 for re gas,

Price has gone up; it’s now £60 for an air-con service !

Still worth the cost, it’s ice cold even in this heat 8)

Do any of these places test the system before recharging? I bought my first car that has a/c but has never worked since I had it and know very little about it so don't want to spend a fortune on something that doesn't work but would cut off my right arm to have it working at the mo.

im sure they do a vac test first try dcss at stocksbridge old tis site
