Katwalk   10 #1 Posted June 5, 2014 Bring your dads!  We have organised an American Sports Day in Stannington Park on Father's Day where Sheffield Predators American Football Club, Bladerunners Baseball Club, Leeds Academy of American Football and more local clubs will be coming down to show us what the sports are all about.  Come and have a go! FREE. For all ages and abilities - run by the community, for the community and we'll also be raising funds on the day for Jack and Jill Pre-school charity - hoping to buy new sports equipment for the children there.  It's 10am - 1pm on Stannington Park field (opposite the Peacock).  We've got a raffle with some great prizes related to American Sports.  Poster/flyers are going out this week.  If you'd like to be involved or would like to introduce your sport on the day, get in touch with Kate: info@funmefit.com  Looking forward to seeing everyone! This is the first type of Sports Day in Stannington - trialing it to see how it goes.  Have some great prizes for the raffle!  Champs in Malin Bridge are donation meal passes for families. Towsure have donated some sports equipment. The Lounge @ Crosspool have donated a Katy Alice Teapot. And SportBaby - the children's outdoor clothing retailer (Sheffield-based) have donated a REAL Official New York Yankees Shirt for a 3-4 Year old!  How lovely our community businesses are!  Thanks to all who have helped so far and if you could spread the news of the day far and wide, that would be ace.  We've had a little mention too in Look Local: http://www.looklocal.org.uk/wordpress/?p=3739 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites Share this content via...
