Funny smell in Sheffield

Hi is it just me or has anyone else woke up to a funny smell around the manor park area like a fusty coffee smell strange i know i thought it was something in the house until i let the dogs out and can smell it outside aswell

If its a burning smell its from a fire at a wood recycling firm in Penistone, theyre reporting about it on Radio Sheffield. You can smell it all over Sheffield apparently.

I could smell it when I woke up@ 4.30 am, had to get up and check the house and the garden....smelt like a fire then -

 

We're the other side of the city - S2 - so it has travelled right across the valley...

I could smell it stronger in the centre than in Hillsborough. The smell as travelled 20 miles

I wondered what it was. I thought the car had something wrong with it. Like a burning rubber smell. But when I got out it smelled the same outside.

If I heard correctly the pile of chippings thats on fire is the size of a football pitch!

the smell is strong in Hillsboro this morning

Strangely enough, I couldn't smell it in High Green this morning, but it was quite strong when I reached the city centre.

Woke up in the night and could smell it very strong. Thought I was imagining it.

I'm just up the hill from Hunters Bar roundabout. I was struggling to sleep last night and opened my window about 4.30am to let in some fresh air. Three hours later I awoke to a room stinking like burnt plastic
