Wedding Venue Discussion 2015/2016

We are slightly short on cash and were wondering of taking advantage of the PA/Sound system in place of a DJ. Has anyone experienced it? Was it any good?

 

Also, We plan to have an Asian Wedding and we are expecting to have a short 15 mins of drumming and fresh pettle throwing whilst the groom makes his way up the drive and walks into the hall.

Any ideas if they would be okay with this kind of thing?

A bit more information may be helpful. What is your budget, how many people do you want to feed and what type of surroundings do you desire?

Not sure about charging for parking as we got a taxi there, but something worth asking about.

 

Noise as well, can't really comment on that either! Something that the wedding co-ordinator could help with. Sorry

If budget is no object, it has to be Chatsworth. Played a few weddings there - just a spectacular venue.

Had our reception at Losehill House Hotel. Couldn't fault it. Great food, great service, great décor, stunning views.

Unless you're uber rich I would recommend at least having some sort of idea about how much you want to spend. It is VERY easy for the costs to start rocketing into space.

Best to go have a look around see which fits with what you want. The majority of venues will have wedding fayres so you get an idea what the venue is like dressed up for a wedding.

Hey,

I got married there 4 years ago and they were great! Guests did feel that drinks were expensive tho.

As for noise the bride and groom get offered to enter the hotel by a entrance next to the canal so its the entrance to the room that you've hired so can't see it being a problem!
