But getting back to the Lib Dems.... they are also back to where they were 2 years ago as well. Delbow 704 #605 Posted June 18, 2021 We've seen the Lib Dems in office. All the voters of Chesham and Amersham have done is swap one brand of Tory for another, which is understandable as it's a very affluent area.
 Share this content via...

What if most of the Tory strongholds in the south starting voting LibDem and the North vote Tory with odd area Labour controlled it could make an interesting general election result. The Lib Dems are no more just another brand of Tory than they are a Labour Party light for dissatisfied Labour supporters to use to send messages to the Labour leadership. Too many 2010 Lib Dem voters didn't understand that a minor party in a coalition government can't pursue all their manifesto pledges or block all the manifesto pledges of the larger party in the coalition government. There isnt a block of voters on the right, center and left, people vote for various policies put forward by the partys. Voters have less loyalty than decades ago. It's allowed the media to explore the demographic changes in the so called blue-wall seats which are likely to have long term effects on voting patterns in a way that feeds directly into the paranois of the back bench tory party MPs.
