May lost her majority in 2017 and bribed the DUP to support her. “No magic money tree” she told health workers but still managed to find 17 billion when it came to saving her own neck.

You Tories must be pretty peed off living in a Socialist city. Perhaps you might be happier if you left

Not a Tory at all - always voted Labour and like many I want Labour to win but realise that a promise to spend billions on whatever pet project makes it onto the manifesto isn't going to win elections.

You will recognise that the Labour leadership supporting Remaining in the EU and a second EU referendum vote virtually handed the last election to the Tories.

Most people agreed with the majority of manifesto pledges. What a lot of Labour voters didn't agree with was an establishment stitch up to keep us in the EU and to overturn a democratic vote. Not respecting the outcome of the referendum was the single issue which lost Labour the election.

Which analysis is this?

According to everything I've read the manifesto went down like a rat sandwich on the door.

Note Labour had to win Tory marginals in Remain areas to get elected - but managed to scare off the middle ground .

Anyway, back to the thread, so can anyone actually tell me what Williamson said that was Antisemitic..?

I don't think anyone has stated that he's said anything antisemitic.  However:

The allegations boil down to having repeatedly downplayed anti-Semitism in the Labour party, and defended people accused of making anti-Semitic comments.

https://inews.co.uk/news/what-did-chris-williamson-say-labour-mp-anti-semitism-comments-suspended-635397

Quote

They said he had "repeatedly shar[ed] platforms with expelled and suspended members of the Labour Party, claiming some of those speaking out against antisemitism within our Party were Tories in disguise, and regularly denying that antisemitism exists within Labour.”

I wanted to look for myself, so I went to his Twitter profile. What I saw was appalling, and it led me to join Hope not Hate to launch a campaign against his re-election in Derby North.

When I reached Williamson’s Twitter page, I was immediately struck by some of the content he was endorsing. There were tweets which described those highlighting antisemitism in the Labour Party as “traitors” and “smear merchants”, and compared the antisemitism row to a witch hunt.

I thought it was a clear breach of the rules of the party. I wasn’t trying to look into his heart and determine whether or not he is an antisemite, but it seemed clear to me that his online behaviour alone was beneath that which we should expect from an MP.

I felt that he was whipping up resentment against my community.

If he wasn't wrong, then why did he apologise?

And why are you going so much out of your way to defend him?

You see my point is, Tom has been going on about the number of people accused of antisemitism in the party. Completely not understanding the difference between accused and guilty, and you have a highlighted my point perfectly, you say that you dont think anyone has stated he said said anything antisemitic, but people think he is guilty because he was ACCUSED..

And he had defended people who have been ACCUSED?.... so what? There we go again

It still doesn't explain why you're such a Williamson apologist.

Why can't you see that the guy is part of the dead weight sullying  the party?  And by being like that you're the same.

Apologist for what?

And if anyone has been sullied, its the party against Williamson, he was the one changed with antisemitism which was later dropped because of lack of evidence

Everybody I spoke to wanted increased investment in the NHS,  to raise the Minimum Wage and to nationalise the big six energy firms, the water industry, the Royal Mail, and the railways.

And will your brexit loving Tory mates do any of this? Apart from semi nationalising a failing train company
