This is just insanity at this point. The party is tearing itself apart.

This anti semitism should have been done and buried years ago but instead Corbyn just dithers along unable to do anything to get it sorted out.

Labour needs a strong non divisive leader to get it united and back in government.

Or just a leader.

Peter Willsman’s inane rant has done little to dispel the ‘anti Semitic’ accusations. However Tom Watson has labled him a ‘loud-mouthed bully’, perhaps Jezza should do similar.

So his inane rant gets him a bit of a telling off and thats it....

Now other MP's who dared to question the new policy, and by extent the "authority" of the Glourious Leader st Jezza are facing instant inquiries etc...

Momentum doing a bit of muscle flexing and using this to remove the undesirable members of the Party? It's like a little mini Stalinist purge this...

what did he actually say that was wrong? did he say anything antisemitic?, sounded like he was pretty much telling it like it is..

Its far from a purge, its called democracy, giving the power back to the people, or are you of the belief that once you get elected as mp you should have a job for life?

Tell me what the other two MP's did then that was so wrong - oooh Hodge called Corbyn names and erm... well... let me guess telling it pretty much like it is... so that's OK?

It's a purge for sure - Corbyn or rather his Momentum puppetmasters are using this to remove people they don't like. Whilst it's good in the point that it makes the Party even more unelectable it's bad in that we really do need an effective opposition now and Corbyn's incessant navel gazing about Palestine is really a total side show to what he should be doing.

Yep, like my local MP Frank Field who faces deselection, despite being a very popular MP for the area for many years.

Over 70 Rabbis asked that Labour recognise the international definition of antisemitism, this muppet obviously disagrees with it.

De-selecting MPs that people have democratically voted for because you disagree with them is pretty much the opposite of democracy.

The language, tone and mindset being used here is similar to what was prevalent in 30s Italy or Spain. These Momentum people are out of control and have no grasp of democracy.

My Jewish friends are so used to prejudice that it just goes over their heads, also most of them are hard workers and don’t have time for racial or religious prejudices. My wife is half Jewish, albeit from the wrong side of the bed, so I have some knowledge of Jews, many Forum members would be surprised to learn how much money Jewish ex servicemen collected for rememberance day.

The Dickensian ‘Fagan’ stereotype Jew is just fiction, the poster who said that he had never met a Jew, has probably met dozens, particularly in medicine and law, not to mention retail. Labour supporters tend to lump all Jews together and class them as Tories, which has been anything but the truth in the past, however I know that many have now crossed the floor due to antiseminism. ;)

i would disagree with that. see here........

How does that process work?

When Labour had mandatory reselection, it meant that once in every Parliament, each MP would have to seek the endorsement of the “General Management Committee” of their constituency party – a group of delegates elected by local party members and trade union branches. So it wasn’t a straightforward vote by ordinary members, but they did have a say in who was on the voting committee. Essentially, sitting MPs had to persuade their local party activists to let them keep their seats before every election.

https://www.newstatesman.com/politics/staggers/2016/08/qa-what-deselection-and-what-does-it-mean-labour-mps

This is the process that labour had before and was scrapped by the Blairites, it seems pretty fair to me, local party members select the people who they want to run the show, if there are unfortunately more left leaning than right then a left leaning MP will be re selected, if not then they will fall by the wayside, thats democracy, thats how democracy works.

lets not forget that these are the same people that wanted to keep the incumbent leader (Corbyn) off the ballot box, when in fact the vast majority of the members wanted Corbyn to be the leader of the party,

Double standards springs to mind
