I will be voting labour. The minimum wage is a real push for a lot of people to.

Not sure what you mean?!? The minimum wage has been in place for a few years now?!?

If you're inferring it should be raised in excess of the normal annual increase, please consider how it would also have to increase those at higher pay levels in an organisation. This would have a catastrophic effect on businesses already struggling to make a profit and risk resulting in bankruptcy and putting more people out of work.

I'm amazed how people can't see this, especially the Green Party.

It's because the left say the right is all me me me.

These policies are just the same. me me me and without a thought of the wider picture.

Remember , if any one is still thinking of voting for Labour , a vote for them means you will not see a referendum on the EU .

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-26538420

Vote Milliband and you are voting for closer ties with the dodgy Europrats in Brussels.

Cameron is offering one but all three main parties would campaign vigorously to stay in and will be backed to the hilt by the left wing press and most of the right wing press. The result would be a foregone conclusion, only people are too thick to realise to see through an election gimmick by Cameron. Let's get on with making the EU better and stop pretending we'll ever leave.

I hope they're not. Mecky was a prat at times, even though she and I had similar opinions on most topics. I think the pressure of the forthcoming GE went to her head and she lost it.
Isn't Mecky a he? Anyhow boomer is Mecky. He's alreight just a bit daft about Labour :)

I also hope he's not gone. Unlike you Joker, I have almost no agreements with him, but that is what debate is about (when he chooses to answer things :D)

The things that stand out for me and my family

Getting rid of zero hour contracts

Higher the rubbish minimum wage

Putting more money into the nhs (not just labour have this in their manifesto I know)

Tightening immigration control

Yes labour got us into debt last time but I dont think they will this time and their budget is going to be monitored with a steady deficit.

Yes. Im looking at it from a me me me (well, me and close family and friends) point of view but lets face it, no body else looks out for me!

Labour - the perfect party, right? They're the party to save the NHS from privatisation (let's ignore the fact they privatised more services then this government did - should probably ignore what the P in PFI stands for, too). They'll also make the NHS more caring (as evidenced in Wales and Mid Staffs).

They'll also rule out zero hour contracts (as promised by Blair in 97). Had better let their Labour colleagues aware of this though - there's 67 Labour MPs using these contracts, and 70,000 staff at Labour run councils on them.

Still on the theme of working people they'll make sure every company bidding for government work is paying their staff the living wage. Although this won't extend to their party - Labour are quite happy to pay their security staff the minimum wage. After all, some people are more equal than others.

Next there's the economy. Labour have already ended boom and bust so we know their economic credibility is beyond reproach. And as Ed's recently said, the previous government didn't spend, nor borrow, too much. World markets are also jittery at the mere threat of Labour getting in, but they're staffed by evil bankers so what do they know? They've also got the backing of thousands of (small) businesses - businesses with a true view of the global economy and how important it is to the UK'S economy...

If Labour can't quite get a handle on the economy at least they can bring in more revenue through going after tax avoidance. The previous Labour government was expert at this, as evidenced in the Vodafone deal. They've also got an in-house expert on tax avoidance in Ed himself who concocted a complex arrangement to minimise his tax liability on family property. They'll also raise the top rate of tax (despite acknowledging this will actually reduce tax receipts) - and the abolition of non-dom status (where people don't pay UK income tax - like Ed's election strategy advisor, David Axlerod) will get rid of more pesky tax avoided (despite also acknowledging this will result in a net fall in tax). But reducing the amount of tax collected is fine as it punishes those pesky wealthy people.

As Labour have said, "Freedom of speech is a privilege, not a right". With this sage advice in mind they've decided to outlaw criticism of religion, making it a hate crime. So the UK will be a happier place, with no criticism of forced marriages, FGM, barbaric slaughter house processes etc. They'll also limit how you can express yourself - by not allowing you a vote on the EU (what do you think this is, a democracy?). But I suppose we can't be trusted with a vote...

I keep seeing a hashtag on Twitter, #labourhypocrisy. I have no idea why people think it's an appropriate hashtag to use. #votelabour

You do know that you'll only get one vote in the GE? Mr Smith and Ivanava aren't entitled to one as well.

Let me chip in.

People should remember that Labour policy also resulted in a million dead in the Middle East during their time in power. It fuelled terrorism that left us with the legacy of constant threat, billion pound bills to police and erosion of hard won freedoms. Unforgivable in my books.

Not desperate, just a clear picture of the hypocrisy of Miliband and his champagne socialists.
