I find it quite interesting the level of armchair critics over Momentumers

 

When absolutely no effort has been made to meet or engage with these people

 

In ANY shape or form

 

Disgusting and lazy really!

 

Here's someone who actually HAS met with Momentumers:

 

Simple question sol, (two actually) do you think it's good children should be heavily exposed to politics. And what do you think will/should happen to dissenting young voices?

How do you know that no effort has been made to meet these people?

 

I wasn't aware that you knew who I was, so I'm very surprised to hear that you know who I meet..

You're suggesting that I should collect a small amount of direct anecdotal evidence and then use that to overrule the much larger set of objective evidence which is available to me.

I'm not that stupid. Even if I did meet half a dozen personable Momentum activists, I'm not silly enough to think that's better information than I already have.

It's only a success if they can get 14 million to vote for them in an election. They seem to alienate twice as many as the rabble they inspire. But so long as it keeps him out of Downing Street it is only the labour party that is suffering.

Momentum has 17,000 members. Less than a tenth of the party membership. Way less.

They were formed AFTER Corbyn became Leader and since then his popularity has decreased and decreased. The opinion polls prove this.

You're kidding right?

You know full well that Momentum is in the process of destroying the Labour party.

 

I suppose that you're right. And this is what you said. They are serving Jeremy Corbyn.

It is in Jeremy Corbyn's interests to remain leader of the Labour party as it will increase his future earning power on the lecture, interview and guest appearance circuits, not to mention the book he's bound to write about how it's not his fault that he destroyed the Labour party.

So if your goal was to serve Jeremy Corbyn personally and aid his career/earning power, well done. Shame you had to destroy the century old Labour movement and disenfranchise its supporters in order to do it, but I suppose it's all worth it.

Jeremy somehow deserves all this support for some reason.

You're not going to transform the world. It's just silly.
