Give him a chance.

Let's see how he fares in the bear pit that is Westminster.

I agree Anna. He comes across as principled and genuine. If some of his ideas are unworkable then he won't get support for them. I think the next few months will be interesting.

Trident, leaving EU, economy, immigration...while Corbyn is technically right IMO he will struggle to find support on the back end...renationalising railways...?

Fine. But he's got to come across as modern, forward thinking. He can't just put a far left protest message out there...

Conservatives will rake up every piece of dirt from the last 35 years and take aim.

Yep, that's the Tories for you....

its started already...from defence secretary Michael Fallon:

"Labour are now a serious risk to our nation’s security, our economy’s security and your family’s security.Whether it’s weakening our defences, raising taxes on jobs and earnings, racking up more debt and welfare or driving up the cost of living by printing money – Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party will hurt working people. This is a very serious moment for our country – the Conservatives will continue to deliver stability, security and opportunity for working people.”

The thing about renationalisation is that it doesn't have to be done all in one go. The East Coast Mainline shows that ;)

That's the problem in this country now. Everying is all or nothing, black or white. People can't comprehend there might be middle ground, grey areas, ways to compromise.

Of course this lack of intelligence of the population is meat and drink for Labour and Tory spin doctors who want to distill everything down to simple binary arguments, button pushing and dog whistle politics. Hopefully Corbyn can break through that.

And then the public will see a mild-mannered peaceful and principled man who is willing to compromise. And then make up their own minds whether Corbyn is the spawn of the devil.

Tories will have to careful not to over bake this.

Well they would say that wouldn't they...?

Not a mention of course of the axe the Tories have taken to our millitary, or the mega amount of money they've printed to give to the Bankers, or the falling standard of living for the average family under the Conservatives...

Do they think we're stupid?

I think the Tories are seriously worried about Corbyn.

I think he will show them up for what they are. Corbyn won't let them get away with rhetoric and soundbites like Milliband did.

He's got to change the focus of debate, people are sick of the mud slinging, Bullington boy style petty back biting....That's corbyn's trump card if he can stick to it.

He deserved to win, and he doesn't deserve Blairite no-marks running anonymously to the press, slagging him off.

A lot of Labour MP's who are parachuted posh boys and girls are going to have twitchy bottom syndrome if Corbyn gives real power to constituency parties.
