lets just put to one side for a moment Corbyn's brexit stance,  and lets also put to one side the other points where Corbyn has tried to fudge it....but i will ask you this, do you sincerely think that Corbyn has been fairly represented by the Tory owned media? or any media in fact?

So you want me to put aside the main points of criticism? That hardly seems fair!

Media is biased. As soon as people realise that the better. Right wing media is biased against Corbyn. Left wing media is biased against Johnson.

And there we have it, you admit that Corbyn has not been given fair representation by the Tory owned media, which must be about 95% of the media outlet,  who can be really surprised that he is currently polling so low,?

it really is a sad state of affairs that the media get to choose who will be the leader of the opposition, hopefully if Corbyn does ever get to number 10, i would like to see him try and implement his ideas about sorting  out the problem of media bias that we currently have, surely true democracy can only be had when we have a level playing field?

Is the Guardian Tory owned, is the Independent (or i) Tory owned, is the mirror Tory owned.. Do those papers only represent 5% of media in the UK?

People read newspapers that match their viewpoints. Whether you like it or not, the UK is a centre to centre right country, and so in order to sell more copies, newspapers buy into that viewpoint. That does not however mean that people with left wing views can't buy newspapers and consume media that match their opinions (the 3 newspapers mentioned above are case in point). If more people shared their views, they would sell more copies.

It's called freedom of speech. I would be surprised if Corbyn wanted to restrict freedom of speech and prevent the media from reporting on things he doesn't want them to. That's dictator territory.

I dont know who owns which media outlet, but the Gaurdian which is supposed to be a labour leaning Paper, often has anti Corbyn material content from what i have seen, as with the Mirror as well, labour leaning, but hey lets not lean too far to actually support socialist principles, just a  Blairite type of labour...

From this link here

https://www.opendemocracy.net/en/opendemocracyuk/five-reasons-why-we-don-t-have-free-and-independent-press-in-uk-and-what-we-can-do-about/

it says that six billionaires are majority voting shareholders for most of the UK national newspapers, it is unsurprising that they mostly supported the Conservatives in the last general election.

But anyway, we can get into facts and figures all day long, and you can argue that the Tories dont actually own 95% of the UK press all day long, but one thing that we can agree on is that we dont have a level playing field, the media is mostly owned by the Tories, and that Corbyn and labour doesnt have fair representation

I wondered how long it would take until someone came up with this argument. Nothing to do with his absolutely woeful and pathetic stance on Brexit, of course not!

Brexit is a  family feud within the Tory party.

I'm sure there are tidy profits to be made by some - especially the among the no deal ERG members and Trump sycophants.

Jeremy Corbyn: I’ll stay neutral and let the people decide on Brexit

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/sep/17/corbyn-vows-to-put-sensible-brexit-deal-to-voters-in-referendum

And what happens if its nearly 50-50 again Jeremy?   All he's doing is avoiding upsetting what Labour supporters he has left because its split his party.   Fence sitting is not the qualities we want in a PM.

While some people have said that they'd now vote Remain instead of Leave, many original Remaners (myself included) are so sick of this dragging on they just want it over and done with.   How much money and time has been wasted so far dragging it on?

This may yet turn out to be a clever move by Corbyn.

He’s outfoxed Johnson completely for the last couple of months. This might be him doing the same to Swinston, whilst also keeping Johnson where he wants him.

Boris must get a deal by October 30. He has to, all that “dead in a ditch” stuff tells you that. Assuming that he does, Swinston’s revoke article 50 policy is dead in the water. Any “deal” will be open to criticism too,.

Labour are then free to campaign in any way they choose. I suspect that they’ll go for a people’s vote on the nature of our final deal with the EU in a couple of years time

Another day, another day of Lab infighting.

The role of Deputy Leader, which has been a role in Lab since the early days of the Party, according to the BBC, (no I didn't realise either.  I thought it only came about to satisfy John Prescott's ego), is under threat from the Momentum faction of Lab.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/sep/20/momentum-bid-to-abolish-deputy-leader-tom-watsons-post

Apparently, there was a meeting in Brighton last night to discuss this & it was expected that the role's present incumbent, Tom Watson would be there.  He only found out about the fact that Corbynites, (who apparently fear losing the next General Election & Watson challenging Corbyn for the leadership & the likes of Momentum losing power), were intending to remove his role while he was hundreds of miles away in a Chinese restaurant in Manchester.

Not so much as the Night of the Long Knives, more Night of the Long Chopsticks.
