it was totally ridiculous that Galloway said that an entire nationality of 8 million diverse  human beings was supposedly  barred from showing up in his Bradford constituency in the first place, and demonstrated what a complete numbskull Galloway actually is. Perhaps some other MP of Greek Cypriot extraction or something,  will similarly say that everybody that's got a Turkish passport will be barred from like Lewisham East.

when Galloway said Israelis he didn't mean Israelis. He meant Jews, and especially to his way of thinking, a type of Zionist Jew he doesn't like, but couldn't say it because if he had said it, he would have sounded like a Nazi and it would have been even more obvious that Galloway is a racist than it is anyway.

You still seem to be having difficulty understanding the difference between the state of Israel and Jewish ethnicity.

They are not the same thing.

You try to read his mind by stating that when Galloway says Israelis he means Jews. Galloway is not lacking in verbal dexterity or the ability to argue his case. He has the knowledge to distinguish between the two.

You made an assertion that Galloway would not share a platform with Jews, as it's Jews, not Israelis that he's got a problem with. I provide evidence to the contrary in my reply, which you chose to ignore.

I'm going to leave it there because I'm not a spokesperson for Galloway. But I do think that you are jumping on a bandwagon that seeks to discredit your opponents by labelling them as racist.

There's ample evidence out there that the right wing is racist and bigoted, but this is conveniently forgotten. People should clean up the **** in their own back yard before pointing the finger at others.

Throughout history, ancient and modern, the Jewish people have suffered no end of prejudice, discrimination and even genocide. Now people like blake, right wing labour MPs and Zionists are exploiting that terrible history to score cheap political points against their opponents.

You are all a disgrace! 😡

Galloway supports Palestinian  terrorists , just like Corbin.

Yeah Corbyn  supported Nelson Mandella whilst everyone else labelled him a terrorist, it took the rest quite a few years to catch up, but they got there in the end........it might take you a little longer though

Corbyn also said that resolution to the conflict in Ireland would only come about once we sat down with all the parties involved including the IRA, years before formal talks were initiated under John Major and Tony Blair.

"The weakness and instability of the British economy in the mid-1970s, the consequence in part of the 1973 rise in oil prices [and don't forget that the Tories were in power until 1974], raised international alarm. The [Republican] US government in particular feared economic crisis would drive Britain into a left-wing siege economy, endangering NATO and the EEC. Anticipating the danger, the US Treasury set out to force Britain to make major domestic policy changes. The sterling crisis provided the opportunity. The IMF provided the weapon."

-- Blurb for Good-bye, Great Britain by Burk & Cairncross

As it turned out, the economic crisis didn't turn out to be as bad as predicted, and most of the loan wasn't needed.  But the damage was already done.  The "conditionalities" imposed by the IMF were enough to set the UK, and indeed the whole western world, on the downward spiral into neoliberalism.

The "downward spiral" that means we're now, on average, far better off than 40 years ago.

Whilst massively increasing debt.

they have reduced deficit by making people’s lives worse by cutting services yet have still managed to see the country’s debt increase.

what makes you so proud of this achievement by the tories?

Do you understand the difference between deficit and debt? If you do, presumably you understand that even reducing the deficit will still increase debt, just by less than what it would have increased by. Debt only goes down when we runs surplus. If we measure by percentage not GDP though, debt issue starting to fall now, because of the drastically reduced deficit.
