The people are realising what the end game of the EC 'could' be and are gearing up to prevent it with all their heart and soul.

Really?

Maybe in your crackpot facebook groups but in the real world people are starting to become seriously worried about what this mess is going to do for them and their families.

Just watched Saint Jeremy on the news, ok it was 10 years ago, but he was opposed to the EU and said so, vehemently.

The Leopard  does change its spots then, or maybe not.

Not just the EU, but the idea of having a second referendum (the Irish referendum on the Lisbon Treaty). I posted a link to the video a few posts ago.

I wonder if this will be in the impetus some Labour remain MPs need to form a breakaway party..

Why can't we have someone like Blair again.

He is the most successful election winner the party ever had. Admitedly he went a bit potty at the end but that happens to all politicians. The trick is to pension them off before they get too mad.

The answer of a failed left wing manifesto, isnt a more left wing manifesto in the hope you will reach some sort of place where you are so left wing people will vote for you.

Labour tried that in the 80s and that wasn't really a great success.

Whether you like it or not, this is a pragmatically centre-right country. That doesn't mean they wont support a centre left government because they will and do so with pleasure but they need a reason too.

You mean like this?

I imagine if this mythical centre ground Party is ever formed, May would then be on safe ground if she called for another GE. This centre ground Party splitting the votes, in the Tory's benefit I would say.

How many support the labour party but dont like it veering again into socialism? Interesting to see if it does, i'd also say the tories are far from the centre ground they are following pretty right wing doctrine

We already have a centre ground party though, but no-body likes the Lib Dems?

Clegg destroyed them, simple as that. Although Cable is not doing a bad job of following him.

There is no centre ground party in the UK. UKIP have lurched into fascism, Labour have lurched into communism, Scots Nats are a minority interest single issue party, Tories are right of centre and Lib Dems are left of centre socialists with a superiority complex.
