65% out of 1355 people you mean if you are quoting the You Gov poll, hardly the full Labour membership is it? 

 

A poll is a poll, remember, hardly a point to claim as fact or Hilary would be in the White House and we would have voted to remain if we believed in polls

Unbelievable!

 

Watched PM's question time in Parliament. The usual bearpit, (as usual,) heated questions and answers about Brexit, homelessness, and other burning issues of the day. After one particularly unhelpful reply from May, Corbyn mutters something under his breath to a neighbour which looks like 'stupid woman,' (according to lip readers.) He leaves the chamber when question time ends. 

 

Then a female conservative MP accuses Corbyn of a parliamentarybreach of behaviour (probably has an official name for it but I can't remember what it was) and demands that Corbyn be brought back into the chamber to make a public apology. The speaker says it's not necessary. And a bit of an argument ensues. 

 

This minor incident then takes over the airways and discussion programmes and features on the news. Never mind Brexit, homelessness or any of the other important stuff that featured. . . 

 

IMO this is everything that's wrong with Government and its relationship with the media. Bet it's that that features in the papers tomorrow, not the statistics and figures that were being bandied about, and neither scrutinised or discussed afterwards. . .

You are right. Instead it was a poll of 5500 ish voters and out of those voters 1355 identified as Labour members and 65% of those said they voted remain. I presume this is where you are getting your statement of "65% of Labour voters" from. If so then the sample is so small it lacks any real crediblity for you to try and insinuate that it represents all labour voters

Jesus Anna, that scraping the barrel even for your "the world hates Corbyn" eyes.

 

He quite clearly says it, gets pulled up on it. Bercow says he didnt see it and is offered the evidence. The protocol would be that the member (whoever it is) would come back to apologise to the house. That's parliamentary procedure. If bercow had seen it then he would have acted on it straight away as he said when challenged.

Corbyn refused to come back, his lackeys say that he said "stupid people" (iMO he didnt, its quite clear he says woman and what grounds would he have to say stupid people) instead of stupid woman and he goes and hides until it blows over. The media pick up on because its quite clearly wrong for him to call any female that but as usual, instead of being a leader he goes and hides. 

That's not negative media coverage as it was live and shown with no commentary.

May and her government couldn’t have got a better smoke screen for today’s events, if they’d paid Corbyn to raise that non-story.

 

Your overall sentiment is right. The government and the media are making hay of this, exploiting it to bury bad news for all it’s worth.

 

But it should also take your blinkers off a bit about Corbyn: if that gaffe wasn’t premeditated (because burying today’s bad news serves his undeclared political agenda just as much as the Tories), then it’s just another sign of his ill-suiting for the job of opposition leader, never mind PM.

Yes, you still have it wrong. Nobody identified as a Labour member.

 

People who voted in the referendum were asked if they voted Leave or Remain. Then they were asked a series of supplementary questions such as sex, age, employment status, or education etc. to gain statistical information on who made up each 'camp'. One of the questions asked was 'What party did you vote for in the last election (2015 at the time) 

 

That is where the 65% figure came from. 

 

Can you point out where I insinuate that the poll represents all Labour voters?
