No I don’t.

Neither do you.

We know what the conservatives have done.

I know I don't. Nobody does. But surely the leader of the opposition should have something to offer, perhaps something most of his party can get behind. If he has he's keeping it very quite and just sniping from the sidelines which isn't very helpful. It's not like the Tories don't need the help!

What would you have him do?

the tories have split the nation with the vote.

he says he would remain and he would be panned - says we should leave and the same.

put simply - it’s not his problem to solve.

Criticising the leader of the opposition for not helping the government is daft.

the tories could have proposed a cross party proposal at the outset - they didn’t.

The Tory government are to blame here - not the opposition.

and by the way - I’m not anti-Corbyn but neither am I his biggest supporter- I just think it’s ludicrous to criticise him for what the tories have done to the country in regard to Brexit which is scandalous.

Then he might as well sit at home rather than just parroting that everything is rubbish week in week out. Anybody can do that, which, despite the worst government in my lifetime, he's still behind in the polls. That's actually achievement of sorts.

Maybe if he used his doubts to side with the leave campaign, his credibility could have been saved.

A ludicrous suggestion!

Corbyn's anti EU stance comes from a particular area of left-wing politics championed by among others, Tony Benn.

The Leave campaign was a right wing, reactionary, anti working class, campaign led by very rich men who stand to profit massively from the deregulation of business that is behind much of this.

All of this is completely anathema to Corbyn and most socialists.

Really?

So I just imagined Labour standing on a pro-Brexit manifesto in 2017 and most Labour MPs voting to trigger Article 50 in February 2017.

Who put forward the referendum?

Who has managed it since?

We should leave the EU because the people have voted.

the decision to give that vote and the management since is the tories responsibility.

are you really blaming labour for Brexit - have a day off.

He didn’t call the referendum.

He hasn’t presided over the most inept management of that situation there could possibly have been.

And that somehow absolves him from fulfilling his opposition duties, in respect of that very same ‘most inept management’?

Nobody, but the most fervent Corbyn cultists, is blind about the scale of his failure in the political arena and, as the leader of the opposition, about his share of responsibility in the current situation.

Which is precisely why I think he’ll never get into no.10; but if he somehow does, then he’ll turn out to be one of its most unmemorable caretakers, like Hollande was in France: he hasn’t got the shoes for it. Not even the laces.

Still, silver lining, that would probably finish off Labour, as surely as Brexit is finishing off the Tories, and so end bipartisanship in the UK: surely a good thing.

Labour did very little to convince the electorate in their regions that Brexit was wrong.

Labour's MPs were broadly in favour of Remain.  Their constituents weren't.

So they toed the Corbyn line and kept their gobs shut for fear of losing votes.

If you read the link it's not the Daily Express, it's the Express and Star, a local, Wolverhampton newspaper.

PS "we're all doomed"

Which part of it is rubbish exactly?

That it’s antisemetic or that it happened at all?
