I really don't get who White Dee is or how that is relevant to what I posted? You will have to elaborate on that.

With regards to Wisewood school, if I recall they actually received backing from the parents to go ahead with plans. It wasn't something I was particularly aware of as I have no kids, so no interest.

However, the example does serve as a nice illustration of the difference between opposing and governing - it is a lot easier to oppose but once you get to government that changes. Get ready for Farage to change over night should he ever get to number 10.

Wilders stupidly agreed to support the coalition in the Netherlands and when he lost half his seats because he actually was forced to agree with the 'old guard' due to the country becoming ungovernable if he didn't, he all of a sudden realised that it is easier to oppose. Same goes for Vlaams Belang a far right Belgian party, each time they hit the comfy seats they get decimated, takes them a couple of cycles to regain votes to get back in, and promptly get decimated again.

Read the article - it help explains why the country's benefit bill has increased rapidly.

With regards to Wisewood School, your recollection fails you.

Lib Dems campaigned long and hard, with parents and community support, to keep the school open. It also helped that Hillsborough Ward had three Labour Councillors at the time, two of whom lost their seats in 2007 and 2008 to help the Lib Dems gain control of the council. You can guess what happened next.

Just goes to show that populism is utilised by all parties.

From what I've seen of Farage, Cameron, Miliband and Clegg, I know who I'd rather trust.

Like I said, I don't know what went on with Wisewood, so for all I care what you say is spot on, but I simply don't know.

Btw I get the impression people think I am arguing because I don't want them to vote UKIP - that isn't true, I want you to vote UKIP knowing all the sides of the story, it is called democracy in action. Unfortunately I see too many people here who dismiss 95% of what running a country is about to focus on the 5% that they think is important. And they dismiss that due to the populist appeal of Farage who knows fine well that this is what is getting him votes and attention.

The reason I bring up the flat-tax and scroungers etc. is because I know there are a lot of disenfranchised Labour voters here (and all over the country) that are all of a sudden swinging from the socialist side of the spectrum all the way over to the libertarian side of the spectrum without realising what they are voting for. These people are going to be gutted should UKIP actually get into power. (I am thinking back on an elaborate discussion I had with Hotmale for example).

I have said it before and will say it again: If UKIP wasn't so pre-occupied with leaving the EU (which is the vote swinger) I would be rather susceptible to vote for them because I am in actual fact a Libertarian and I do believe in flat-tax and a reduction of the state.

So don't expect me to have any sympathy with the people voting UKIP in now when the NHS gets (part) privatised or they all of a sudden realise their bus doesn't run anymore because it is economically non-viable.

UKIP voters. Are morons. UKIP are only using the immigration and EU issues as a front. Their real game is worse than Tory rule.

I'm not going to trawl through your post history, and I might be wrong here, but I am sure that several of the people promoting UKIP in this thread are the same that wanted to string bankers up and get rid of the fat cats in the city some years ago.

But now the EU is creating that tax, just in the Eurozone btw, the UK doesn't even take part in it, you are posting that it is a reason to leave the EU.

Misguided voters, populism 101.

No your just wrong.

Go trawl through the post and you will see, you just came to that conclusion for something to put I imagine, or to satisfy your idea of what anyone pro UKIP must be like.

Go look ;)

You're taking a rather broad brush to paint immigrants with aren't you? I was thankful to live next door to an Asian doctor when my then infant son suffered from an asthma attack, and aside from that they were darn nice people.

They've just been talking about Home Carers who can't speak English on Radio Sheffield.

I mean, come on, if you're old and need help you should at least be able to communicate with those who are there to help you.

It's ridiculous that we now have people with responsible jobs who can't even speak the language.....I'd discipline the people who employed them!

Regards

Confession time, I used to be an imigrant working in Germany, Norway, Holland, Canada etc. the locals were always very discreet in not telling I was on the imigration gravy train and taking their jobs. For some strange reason they said they enjoyed having me in their country, maybe they were just being polite.
