Hi

 

I've had to reset my iPhone and found that I can't activate it now as it's asking for the previous owners Apple ID details.

 

I've had the phone a few months and not had any problem with it. The previous owner says that the details it's asking for are not his and that the person he bought it from is required to unlock it. He does not have their details.

 

Is there anything I can do to unlock the phone? If not it's scrap value as I can't get passed the activation screen.

Go to the Apple store and explain. They should be able help you.

Its a security measure - unfortunately you are stuck - apple will request you contact the original owner
