can I ask where abouts the allotments are? I live nearby and often walk through parson cross park but have never seen any allotments - would be interested in applying for one!

cheers

How big are the allotments?

Is it £12 per 1/16th of an acre?

A standard allotment is 1/16th of an acre, some 253m^2.

65^2 is about 1/4 of an allotment. So you are paying roughly the equivalent of £160 per year for an 'allotment'.

That is very very expensive!

If it was £12 for 253m^2, that'd be good value.

In Worksop it is £8 per year for 253m^2.

There is an idealogical attack going on, on allotments and self sufficiency. People are being forced off of what little land they have access to.

£40 per year?! On Parson Cross Community Gardens. Think you have the wrong place. I have a "double" and it is £12 per year. Rising to £14 next year. And no livestock are allowed I am afraid. :)
