speedy69 Â Â 10 #2 Posted April 1, 2014 You will only be able to bid on your waiting time (if registered) as you are already in a property and not classed as homeless or threat to be homeless.
 Share this content via...

dearsue1 Â Â 10 #4 Posted April 1, 2014 U can bid on propertys now if u on list 7 years should give u a good place. Also u can go to citizens advice. I need get advice because if they dont do repairs u can get compensation. Take them to small claims court. Do u have a contract signed ? Go and get advice. I am certain you will get help. Sort the landlord out. Do u get the gas and electrics checked, I'm guessing not. If they dont do repairs and your children are suffering for it then its a health and safety matter. Ask about environmental health issues. I would love to see the outcome of this problem.
 Share this content via...

999tigger   10 #6 Posted April 1, 2014 Just go and visit Shelter or CAB in person and ask them to tell you what your rights are. You aslo have rights against your current landlord as well to undertake the repairs.
 Share this content via...

Douglas J   10 #8 Posted April 1, 2014 Im hoping just to move out of this house just fed up of it but im going to go to citizens advice  Good idea - if you're on a low income, you could qualify for legal aid and a housing specialist may be able to see you - Sheffield Citizens Advice and Law Centre is on 205 5055.  and / or you could try the Council's private sector housing department on 273 4680. mafya   246 #9 Posted April 1, 2014 ive had a gas check but not certain about the electrical testing its really getting to me i just dont wanna be here  An electrical check is not required by law, black mould is caused by lack of ventilation. Were these mould problems there when you took on the house or have they developed after you moved in?
 Share this content via...
Nicotrod   10 #10 Posted April 2, 2014 Are you drying washing on radiators and not opening the windows? This can very quickly cause a build up on condensation and mould. it's vital that you keep your property well ventilated and aired.  If you do keep it well aired and are still concerned, contact tenancy relations at the council.  ---------- Post added 02-04-2014 at 12:36 ----------  Oh- you may be able to bid on first come first served.
