Advice on running a blog

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of starting a blog at minimal or no cost.

I've had a look at Wordpress and Blogspot. What do you think are the pros and cons of these. What else should I be looking at?

Thanks

Why not just keep a personal journal? There must be software available for this or you could simply use Word. Very few people have such interesting lives and are sufficiently expressive that others would want to read about it.

in years to come a personal journal might be more meaningful because you can write things in there that you would not want others to read. It is the modern trend to share every aspect of life with all and sundry but it is not mandatory - a few years down the line and you may regret it.

Depends on if he has something to write about that others might find interesting, or not.

I've used both for years and both have their pros and cons but once you get wordpress sorted and install the anti spam plugin it's really easy to use.
