no it didnt help still got it , ive backed all my stuff onto a hardrive but when i put the hardrive on my desktop pc it still doesnt open them and every file has the howdercrypt file in it

i think u should restore ure windows to an earllier time and u will not lose any decuments or pictures , go to all programs/accessories/system tools/system restore then choose any day

I have seen and fixed this many times. Quite usually with OEM Windows 7 64bit.
