Victor Meldrew   33 #13 Posted February 24, 2014 I've seen Blackbirds nesting in January before (from my office window!). Admittedly this was in an enclosed building quadrangle with balconies but I guess it can happen anywhere there is shelter and where there is a good supply of worms nearby. Mr Clowning   10 #14 Posted February 25, 2014 Yes seen the link the one at drakehouse has the same nesting material plenty of moss so it could be a mistle thrush! Spring could be in the air I even spotted a bumble bee last week.  I spotted a queen last week on a footpath, it must have turned a little cold for it. I saw one though today as it dived bombed me while out in the woods so they certainly think its spring, just hope we don't get a boat load of snow now as they will be in for a shock.  ---------- Post added 25-02-2014 at 00:32 ----------  Makes you wonder how they sleep bless them!  Maybe they don't sit the nest and let the light do the work ?
