i went to herries too, think i left 83/84, my form tutor was miss steel, sewing teacher. had some great times there.

i remember miss barrie the little asian cookery teacher, ohhhhhh i loved her, she taught me how to make the perfect trifle, lol

I left Herries in 1974, and remember most of the teachers mentioned, and a few others, looking back, school was a great time, and Im glad I was there then, not now!

My form tutor was Mr Morton.

Totally agree with you I was there from 84-88. Still see lots of ex pupils as we have school reunions every 6 months!

I went to Herries 73 to 78. Hated that sports dome, too hot!! It was damaged in 77. Spent most of my time waggin it in the woods.

I also remember Mr Derry (geography), Miss Woollen (P.E) & Mr Guest (maths). Those are the lessons i didn't go to but looking back 32 yrs it was great times

i went to herries for one year in 84-85 and i remember all these teachers

especially mr guest

if i remember rightly miss phipps was my french teacher at the time

what was the name of the sports teacher? he was a big bloke an ex boxer

If its the same sports teacher i'm thinking of, that was Mr Reid. No one can forget Mr Guest, he was a dinosaur!!
