Now they're big enough to survive without being sat on all day, the parents don't visit the nest itself much except to feed the chicks; but that doesn't mean they're absent. They'll be just a short distance away on the church tower, keeping a very keen eye on anything approaching the nest area - take a look at the photos from last year of the adults seeing off an osprey for example.
