No Time To Die....9/10.

An entertaining Bond movie. Long, but didn't feel over long I thought.

And great to be back in a cinema, The Light, best cinema in Sheffield.

The Last Bus.

Disappointed

What is an Excellent story, or should be, was (IMO) poorly executed (& done on a budget).

You'd think someones trip from John o'Grouts to Lands End would encompass some of the scenery on the way down.

Ok, I didn't expect it to be a Travel program, but half the  filming could have been done in down town Attercliffe.

The blurb that Tom (Timothy Spall) reaches almost 'Cult' status on his journey is hardly touched on (emphasised).

Slight spoiler alert.

The scene where Tom gets chucked off a Bus in the middle of nowhere just doesn't make sense.

Why would the bus driver stop to check tickets part way through the journey (& in the middle of nowhere)?

& the end scene - well I shall only say - I'm not going to tell yer.

The 'flash back' scenes are probably the better part of the film but even then that story line is vague to say the least.

Did Covid have anything to do with the lack of interaction between characters?

Still worth watching, but could have been better. Don't expect too much 6/10 tops.

Us Jock's must be made of sterner stuff.

I'd got the mans size Kleenex on standby but never even felt like opening them.

(I've got the receipt so they can go back t' shop in't morning) :hihi:

Keep safe out there.

Hmm I liked it but no film comes close to Good Will Hounting! What a story. I was crying at the end 10/10

Copshop - 7.5/10

Fun action film riffing off Assault On Precinct 13 and Tarantino about a man fleeing from the assassins sent to kill him who hides from them by getting himself arrested and locked up in a remote desert police station, only to find one of the assassins after him  gets put into the cell opposite him.

Great soundtrack, fun characters and dialogue, ridiculous storyline. Good Saturday night popcorn movie.

No Time to Die
Cary Joji Fukunaga's direction gives the movie a really fresh and edgy feel.
Combined with Daniel Craig's Bond, with a fading machismo harness, makes it one of the best ever.

Doors (2021)

Mysterious 'Alien' portholes (Doors) suddenly appear all over earth.

We like 'Kooky' & this is certainly Kooky.

The beginning starts with promise.

People start to disappear, others go sight seeing/ exploring other dimensions through the Doors.

Sound good? It nearly is! Then.

Yet again another Non ending.

Did they run out of money?

Did Coronavirus force an early finish to filming?

Did I fall asleep & miss some of it?

Shame! the premise for this being  something good, just disappears.

3.5/10

Someone please re make this 8)

The Protégé    6.5/10

Decent film to pass the time- with Samual L Jackson, who always makes films more interesting.

Here he plays an aging assassin who has taken a young girl under his wing- who are both targeted when they open up an old story/ case.

Michael Keaton also stars, and steals the film in my opinion- very watchable.

No time to die is one of the best I would give him 10/10
