tinfoilhat 11 #3446 Posted November 14, 2021 Jumanji 2. Quite alot like jumanji 1 but with a couple of old people thrown in. I liked it. 8/
 Share this content via...

Rockers rule 673 #3448 Posted November 15, 2021 The Pebble and the boy. Not exactly a follow on to Quadrophenia, but a fair shot at it. Certainly better than the woeful superposed follow on 'To be some one'. Lots of references to the original film but doesn't take itself as serious. Brief synopsis. Boy looses Dad, Boy takes Dad's ashes down to Brighton on Dad's mirror bedecked Lambretta. Meets a Floosie on the way, Comic, near enough a 'road trip' movie. Don't expect too much from it, but worth watching. 6.7/10 If you like the smell of two stroke in the morning this is the film for you😱. Keep safe . Can yer still buy Lambretta's for £20 ? tinfoilhat 11 #3449 Posted November 16, 2021 Black window. Superhero stuff with a supporting cast with a bit substance than some other marvel films. More or less as you'd expect but none the worse for it. 7.5/
 Share this content via...

Anna B 1,414 #3452 Posted November 17, 2021 'Finding Your Feet.' Small British film with an all British cast starring Celia Imrie, Imelda Staunton and Timothy Spall. It passed a very enjoyable couple of hours. I love these largely unheralded British films.
 Share this content via...

I reckon it's the best film I've seen all year. Happily give it a solid 10/10. A trainee fashion designer sees images of a model-singer from the 60s. One of the main female leads is Anya Taylor-Joy (the lass we all enjoyed so much in The Queen's Gambit) and there's three giants from the 60s; Terence Stamp. Rita Tushingham and Diana Rigg, all turning in very believable performances. As above. & Thank you Wearysmith 🧐 I could only wax lyrical about this film, if I (We) wasn't (weren't) so shell shocked from the experience of having just watching the thing. Definite 10+/10. Very Clever, Expertly done Exceptional film. Fast paced, edge of the seat, psychological thriller as psychological thrillers should be made. Lets hope we get a run of similar quality films on the back of this one. Fully recommend. Enjoy
 Share this content via...

I’ve got a really short attention span but never picked up my phone once, wasn’t even tempted. My favourite film from the last 12 months was Promising Young Woman, I’ve got to say this was on a par with that for me. Brilliant soundtrack too. 9/
 Share this content via...

Must have been better than that . I didn't get to rant once over some dodgy scenario or plotline . (Spoiler alert if you haven't watched it yet) The Taxi's pulling up sharp got me both times though . Keep safe .
 Share this content via...
nikki-red 308 #3456 Posted November 20, 2021 The only reason I didn’t give it a 10/10 is I enjoyed the first half slightly more than I did the second. Great film tho, clever, well acted, gripping, and as I said, fab soundtrack.
 Share this content via...
