Teach her to blow it? (By demonstrating).

If it's too blocked, she will breathe through her mouth. Prop her up a bit in bed (extra pillows). Snufflebabe is good too.

Blocked as in: cold?

Try some Vicks, Olbas Oil or Snuffle babe. I've always used them on my children and they really do help.

Hope she's feeling better soon.

In certain old world tribes the mother sucks on the nostrils (one at a time) to clear offending material. You may just want to get something from the chemists though. :)

Put the shower on really hot, shut bathroom door and sit in there with her for half hour.

My apologies.

You can use a nasal aspirator as a substitute.

Now drink up. :D

Are you sure it's actually blocked, or are her nasal passages swollen? If swollen, I'd go the Vick's route.

I was told this wonderful advice!

My 3 week old grandson had a very large dry bogie blocking his nose, he was struggling to drink his bottles so I thought I'd give it a try so I gave a little suck which seemed to loosen it but everytime he would just breath it back up.

On the last attempt I gave a quick suck, the bogie flew to the back of my throat! I couldn't get it out and was nearly choking/vomiting, in the end I just swollowed it!

I'm feeling sick now just thinking about it.

So if you do take that advice be warned, don't suck too quick!
