Stand and Deliver

 

This could be me or a mere observation,

Whilst on motorway, I called in at a service station,

Feeling rather parched just fancied a nice cup of tea,

Perhaps even try one of their bacon butties,

I walked in to where they were serving hot food,

But forgive me for trying not to sound too rude,

The prices they charge I should of brought my flask,

Suddenly thought Dick Turpin the man with the mask,

Bacon Butty with one freshly brewed cup of tea,

Was going to cost me a total seven pounds fifty,

One teabag, hot water, two bacon two bread,

Here’s me thinking highwaymen were dead,

To make things worse, I asked for a sauce sachet,

And found out I had another twenty pence to pay,

Daylight robbery inflation or pure greed,

Only thing missing here was the highwayman’s steed,

So next time I’m driving, I will give these a swerve,

Those robbing gits they've got a nerve.
