poppet2 Â Â 13 #109 Posted August 4, 2014 Do you remember when ripped jeans were the fashion? Crazy thing was, the ripped jeans were more expensive then the unripped jeans. The kids could have bought the unripped jeans, then ripped them themselves and paid far less!
 Share this content via...
skat man   10 #110 Posted August 5, 2014 I love school uniforms! No fighting about what to wear. No having to have something everyone else has. Plus it equalizes everyone. Poor, middle class, wealthy all look the same. My youngest has to wear a uniform to her school. Just wish my oldest did at her school.  Agree 100%
 Share this content via...
Hammerstein   10 #111 Posted August 5, 2014 How does democratic education make 'the curriculum rigid, restrain and prressurise teachers and pupils and make schools stratified than it was possible to imagine when it was first brought in'? I think i've missed something.  Was this a misunderstanding? I'd really like to know what you meant.  ---------- Post added 06-08-2014 at 15:53 ----------  ...I'll assume it was a misunderstanding. Mecky   10 #113 Posted October 9, 2014 Believe me, many teenagers think nothing of paying £75 for a pair of jeans.  Perhaps they would if it was their own money, maybe it is I dunno
 Share this content via...
