Plain Talker   11 #18 Posted January 26, 2014 This should put an end to the "what is x postcode like" S10- Very very nice area- if you're renting not too expensive either, buying is another matter!  You say you live in Sheffield? Interesting, then, that you subscribe to that load of rubbish, and seem blissfully unaware that the "nice" area called S10 also contains the Exeter Drive area of Broomhall, and, even more astounding, the street which was known as Havelock Square (now called Holberry Gardens) which was for many years the very centre of Sheffield Prostitution.  I know my memory serves me very well, when I say that Peter Sutcliffe, the Yorkshire Ripper, was caught with a "working girl"in the street that runs behind the most prestigious private girls' school, Sheffield High School For Girls; and the latest murder tragedy to hit the city was on a leafy street in Crosspool. (talking of prestigious areas!)
 Share this content via...
Epic Fail   10 #19 Posted January 26, 2014 Hillsborough is a bit of a dump in all fairness. As is Stannington.
 Share this content via...

flantastico   10 #23 Posted January 27, 2014 S6 also includes Walkley, the epicentre of the known universe.  Actually Hillsborough is the epicentre of the known universe, but on a galactic scale you're not far off.
 Share this content via...
Jim Hardie   527 #24 Posted January 27, 2014 S6 also includes Walkley, the epicentre of the known universe.  Which of these two dictionary entries for 'epicentre' did you have in mind?  The point on the earth’s surface vertically above the focus of an earthquake.  The central point of something, typically a difficult or unpleasant situation.
