cgksheff   44 #2 Posted January 25, 2014 They must tell HMRC of the change in circumstances, but CHB will usually continue to be paid for the first 8 weeks:  http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/childbenefit/start/who-qualifies/child-in-care.htm
 Share this content via...
999tigger   10 #3 Posted January 25, 2014 Why not ring the benefits line and ask them or social services? Are you the social worker?  It depends how long they have been in care and what visitation rights there are. Also the reason they are in care might have an effect.  The DWP can stop payment. Is it the milk tokens you want?
 Share this content via...

LeMaquis   10 #5 Posted January 25, 2014 Is it normal practice for a woman whose kids have been taken off her and are awaiting adoption still to be recieving child allowance and milk tokens???  It hasn't been normal practice since 1977 to receive child allowance. As for child benefit, why not ask an advice centre.  ---------- Post added 25-01-2014 at 13:06 ----------  i no some 1 who in same boat and still gets child tax credits and child allowance as been for past 4 years etc  But you haven't reported them?
