dutch   68 #2 Posted January 24, 2014 Hahaha renumbering the 13 bus into something different. There are still people out there believing number 13 has some negative aspects attached to it?
 Share this content via...
jayne67 Â Â 10 #3 Posted January 24, 2014 I looked at the revised timetable for the 14 (or 84) a couple of days ago, and If I read this correctly, the last bus is quite early...don't know if its around 8.15 ish....if this is correct, its not very good for public transport users of the Wisewood/Loxley area.... steamnratbag   10 #6 Posted January 24, 2014 So services 11 and 12 are to be replaced by services 81 and 82 are they?  It was First who split the old 81 and 82 services in half creating services 11 and 12 anyway! They said it would make things better on the divided route when everyone else said it was a rubbish idea.  And the 84 as well I think  Ish! verydull   10 #8 Posted January 25, 2014 first have short memories. They split the 13/14 off at woodhouse because of "timekeeping" and said it was more "efficient" to run it just from town.  The 22 route doesn't particularly go anywhere (and exists about 2 miles apart from the 25 along its route) and it doesn't even connect with the 13/ 14 in town.  now they are going to connect 2 of the busiest and congested areas of sheffield together?  mmm good thinking first. algy   11 #11 Posted January 26, 2014 Still a bit puzzled about the 81 round Greystones. The map shows it going up Ecclesall Ed and missing Greystones out, but Greystones is shown as a stop on the list. So what exactly is the route going to be? At present it goes up Greystones Rd/High Storrs Rd to Bents Green then returns the same way. Does it now miss out Bents Green and go to Ecclesall Terminus instead, and which way does it come back?  Either way we can say goodbye to the service. Even with the shorter route between Angel Street and Bents Green they sometimes lost so much time they terminated at Hunters Bar to catch up. If they've got to start running all the way across the city there's no way they'll keep to time.  From what was said when they first mooted this change a few months ago, it's so the service from the Stannington end will pass close to the new market. There was an outcry at the time and they said they'd look again when the market opened. So much for consultation. The old 11 /12 route already ran past Moorhead. Why not just extend it to the bottom of the Moor instead of fouling up four services?
 Share this content via...
