61bonnie yes they were Triumphs I also had a 61 Trophy 91 AWB which was registered on 31 December 1961.

How did you get on locating the registration number.

I'm up against it as the Sheffield archives stopped adding details in May 61 and mine left the Triumph works for Wraggs on 26th July.

 

I wonder if anyone out there knows if there are any sales records around?

have a look in the old bike mart

its a monthly paper there used to be a regular part/guy who reclaimed numbers for bikes that had been off the road a while

Thanks for the tips.

As for the Old Bike Mart I have been receiving it for years but forgotten about Mike Worthington who used to deal with registrations.

Think the DVLA changed the system.

Contacted him and he'll place a request in OBM, it's certainly worth a try.

I'll also contact the owners club to check.
