Recommended Posts

Thankyou for all your kind words, but I'm not brave I'm weak that's why I'm on here reaching out to strangers for........I dunno, because I haven't got the guts to pick up the phone and talk.

Please Please don't do any thing drastic. Call your Doctor's surgery first thing in the morning and demand help. If it is just a strangers ear you want to rant in then PM me and I would be only too happy to give you that. I have been like you are right now, but trust me when I say that it does get better eventually.

You reached out for help, strangers, friends, family - it doesn't matter. You typed a post and asked for help.

It may be that you are on the wrong medication and need a review of this by your GP, also ask him to contact the mental health team who you are with and let him explain your problems and demand they come and see you.

I know it may be easy for some of us to say do this and do that, but we are all here, trying to be whatever help we can to you. your family needs you as much as you need them. you are a good wife and a good mother, don't you forget that. you've got a lovely family who will help you get through this and there are specialists people out there who are trained to help people like yourself with depression. if it helps talking to all of us on the forum continue to do so, we are all equal and non judgemental on this matter. we are all here for you, you have us fighting your depression with you

I have tried this, my GP called them and demanded they allocate me someone else. They followed up with a phone call to me telling me they didn't have the staff! And to call crisis team if I needed them- those who don't even bother to call back. I just feel like if they've given up I may aswell too

I've suffered with depression since I was a child due to horrid things happening to me. Now I'm older with kids and it keeps returning, it feels like a punishment. Living a life like this is like torture I need to escape from. I have a loving husband but no matter how many people you have you feel alone. I'm considering just leaving as I make everyone unhappy. Does anyone else suffer like this? I'm on tablets but honestly I cannot keep living life like this

please go back to your doctor as they can change your medication if need be, I have suffered for years with depression on and off and I have tried taking my own life a few times too, my kids have turned their back on me too due to doing things with my life I now regret doing, I feel so alone sometimes and during the winter months seem to be the worst but you need help asap so you don't end up like me, please get the help and don't leave your family, I did and I have lost seeing my grandkids grow up due to my rash descisions , take care x
